Our MissionThe heart of Christ’s Home is to serve the Lord by providing services to senior adults and disadvantaged children in an atmosphere graced with love, dignity, compassion and respect.
Our ValuesTHE BIBLE: We accept the authority of the Bible translated into action to meet the spiritual, physical, emotional and social needs of those we serve. PEOPLE: We strive to fulfill the command of Jesus, “love your neighbor as yourself,” as an integral part of our daily ministry. SERVICES: We are committed to quality programming and services that exceed community standards while providing exceptional value. STEWARDSHIP: We acknowledge that the assets of Christ’s Home belong to God. We also acknowledge that God has blessed us individually with talents and abilities. Placed together, we acknowledge our responsibility to use them wisely for His Glory. BENEVOLENCE: We will utilize our resources to provide for those who otherwise may not be served. Our History Christ’s Home is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1903 by Dr. Albert Oetinger and Katharine Krausslach. It was founded as a faith-based non-denominational organization caring for children in Philadelphia. Just four years later, in 1907, Christ’s Home moved to Warminster, Bucks County. The Warminster campus now operates group homes for children ages four to 16, a Pregnant and Parenting Teens program, and a Transitional Living Program for teen boys and girls. In 1923, Christ’s Home purchased St. Stephen’s Farm in Warminster and opened a retirement community to create a modest home for the needs of senior adults in the area. Over the years, several small expansions took place to add additional independent living apartments, personal care, and skilled nursing care. In 1936, a branch of Christ’s Home for Children opened in Paradise, Lancaster County. This campus operates group homes for disadvantaged children. As Christ’s Home moved into the 21st century, it expanded the retirement community across the 84-acre Warminster campus. This expansion included independent living cottages, independent living apartments, and a Healthcare Center. The HealthCare Center included the addition of Memory Care services, further advancing the continuum of care for our residents. Today, at Christ’s Home we continue our original vision of following the Biblical mandate to “care for the orphans and widows.” We do this by serving disadvantaged children in both Warminster and Paradise, PA and serving senior adults in Warminster. In honoring our founding as an orphanage, we also contribute to several international ministries which provide services to orphans and disadvantaged children. We continue to seek new ways to provide quality services and improve our current services. The needs are significant, but we know our God is fully sufficient to meet the needs.
