Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority to Honor Essential Workers at Christ’s Home Senior Services with Free Meals

Warminster, Pa, June 23, 2020 – The Omega Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will be honoring essential workers at Christ’s Home Senior Services. On Wednesday, June 24 at 2:30 p.m., Omega Zeta Omega will be giving free meals to Christ’s Home’s essential works in support of Lunchline for the Frontline. The meals will be provided by B&T Caterers – a Black-owned business. Omega Zeta Omega is the Bucks County chapter of the first historically African American Greek-lettered sorority for college-educated women – Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA). AKA was founded in 1908 and received its incorporation in 1913. Omega Zeta Omega is “constantly working to fulfill our organization’s mission, “Service to All Mankind”, through program initiatives, community partnerships and community engagement.”
Christ’s Home’s Administrator for Independent Living, Vernon Morris, feels blessed.
“We are grateful to be honored and to have our heroes be appreciated and noticed in this way.” Morris said.
Christ’s Home will be setting up a station outside the facility for our heroes to receive their free meals. Christ’s Home is following directives and guidelines issued by the CDC and CMS in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
