Warminster, PA, October 17, 2023 – Christ’s Home celebrated 100 years of senior care in Warminster, as well as its 120th year of serving disadvantaged children, at its annual Legacy Event on October 12. Chief Financial Officer, Dee Bartolanzo, and Children’s Campus Maintenance Director, Ron Buchanan, who are both retiring, were also recognized for their 32 and 29 years of service at Christ’s Home respectively.

Christ’s Home Chief Executive Officer, John Bryant, is immensely thankful for the legacy Christ’s Home has.

“As we enter our second century of service for senior adults, and over 120 years of care for children and youth, we are prayerful for a continued legacy and mission of love, dignity, compassion, and respect. We also recognize, and wouldn’t be here without, the incredible people who make up the team here at Christ’s Home. Their heart for our mission and years of dedication are inspiring.” Bryant said.

Bartolanzo and Buchanan were both recognized with Lifetime Service Awards. The Legacy Event took place at Christ’s Home Community Center.

Christ’s Home, which was founded in 1903 by Dr. Albert Oetinger and Katharine Krausslach as a faith-based non-denominational organization caring for children in Philadelphia, moved to Warminster, Bucks County in 1907. In 1923, Christ’s Home purchased St. Stephen’s Farm in Warminster and opened a retirement community for senior adults in the area. Then, in 1936, a branch of Christ’s Home for Children opened in Paradise, Lancaster County.

Today, the children’s campuses operate group homes for disadvantaged children. The retirement community expanded across the 84-acre Warminster campus. This expansion includes independent living cottages, independent living apartments, and a Healthcare Center with Memory Care services.
