Christ’s Home Partners with Walgreens to Administer Pfizer COVID19 Vaccine to Healthcare Residents and Staff

Warminster, Pa, January 13, 2021 – Christ’s Home began administering the COVID-19 vaccine to Christ’s Home residents January 13. Christ’s Home is prioritizing Healthcare residents and staff in its skilled nursing, personal care and memory care programs. Christ’s Home is receiving the Pfizer vaccine and partnering with Walgreens for vaccinations of all Healthcare residents and staff. The majority of Healthcare staff and residents who requested the vaccine will be fully vaccinated by the end of February.

On January 22, Christ’s Home will make the vaccine available to Christ’s Home’s Independent Living residents and staff. Christ’s Home is partnering with Doylestown Hospital for this round of vaccinations according to Chief Operating Officer, Jim McGovern.

“Christ’s Home is very excited to partner with Walgreens and Doylestown Health to provide the COVID-19 vaccine for our residents and staff. My hope is that once vaccinated, our staff and residents will reduce not only their risk of getting COVID-19, but the risk of spreading this virus to others. I believe the vaccine is the light at the end of the tunnel and the most important step we can take to combat this deadly virus,” McGovern said.

Walgreens was at Christ’s Home on January 13 to administer vaccines for the first vaccine clinic. The second clinic will be in February. Christ’s Home will maintain its rigorous protocols until advised otherwise by the CDC and state and local authorities. This includes the appropriate use of temperature checks, personal protective equipment, ongoing community testing, social distancing and enhanced cleaning.
