Pa. Rep. Brian Munroe Honors Two Christ’s Home Centenarians with Commonwealth Citations

WARMINSTER, Pa. — Christ’s Home was honored to welcome Pennsylvania State Representative Brian Munroe, who visited the campus to present official Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Citations recognizing two extraordinary residents: Carolyn Ferrari, age 105, and Marion Linhard, age 102.

The presentation took place in the Personal Care neighborhood at Christ’s Home Senior Services, located at 1 Shepherd’s Way in Warminster.

“It is a privilege to celebrate this remarkable milestone with Carolyn and Marion,” said Jim McGovern, Chief Executive Officer of Christ’s Home. “These two women have witnessed more than a century of history, perseverance, and change. Their lives are a testament to resilience, faith, and the countless relationships and memories they have built over the years.”

Both women are members of the Greatest Generation and were born in Philadelphia. Throughout their lives they have experienced the Great Depression, World War II, the administrations of numerous United States presidents, and the extraordinary technological advances that transformed society—from television and the space race to the internet, smartphones, social media, and artificial intelligence.

When reflecting on the secret to a meaningful life, Carolyn shared simple but enduring advice:

“Be friendly, make friends, and keep your friends. They help a lot during life.”

When asked what wisdom she would offer others, Marion smiled and replied simply:

“I wouldn’t.”

Though brief, her response reflects the humility, grace, and authenticity that have characterized a lifetime well lived.

“Centenarians remind us that every year of life represents experiences, relationships, and stories worth celebrating,” McGovern added. “Carolyn and Marion are treasured members of the Christ’s Home family, and we are grateful to Representative Munroe for helping us recognize these incredible milestones.”
